Computerbank Queensland helps as many people as we can, however demand is high and each application for assistance is examined on its merits. We satisfy demand for our services in the following priority:

• Community, charitable and volunteer organisations for client use.
• Job seekers amongst the long term unemployed to ensure they have access to office and workplace computer technology.
• As education support to year 8-12 children in financially disadvantaged circumstances.

The computers we provide are normally Pentium 2 or Pentium 3, and usually come installed with Linux software (freeware) tailored to the requirements of the recipients. Linux includes an operating system, graphical desktop environment, office productivity suite and other applications and programs. 

Sometimes donors have working computers that can be given direct to recipients without being refurbished. These are provided 'as is' and are generally collected by the recipient direct from the donor.
